Information Technology and Society: A collection of newspapers from the Middle East and North Africa has been digitized and got open access

The Center for Research Libraries (USA) and East View released the second collection of open access – Middle Eastern and North African (MENA) Newspapers, digitized as part of the creation of the Global Press Archive (GPA).

MENA Newspapers has been added to the growing collection of open access materials provided by the East View Global Press Archive.

With a preliminary release of over 100,000 pages from 15 titles, the MENA Newspapers collection will eventually involve up to 500,000 pages of historical news content.

MENA Newspapers contains materials generally in Arabic, but also includes key publications in English and French. Most of the materials have never been available digitally or in public access.
