Marking the 76th anniversary of the complete liberation of Leningrad from the Nazis Siege: The "Blockade Graphics: feat, everyday life, memory" exhibition to present in Saint Petersburg

The Museum of Political History of Russia (St. Petersburg) opened an exhibition “Graphics of the Siege: feat, everyday life, memory”. The exhibition presents the works of artists who survived the Siege of Leningrad - Elena Marttila, Nikolai Muratov, Alexei Pakhomov, Alexander Kharshak and others. There are both finished works and sketches, painted in a manner far from the canons of Soviet official art. Some works will be exhibited for the first time.

The exhibition tells about the tragedy of the Siege through the experience and memories of people who lived and worked in the besieged city. There are drawings and prints - full-scale sketches, portraits, and landscapes, about 30 works.
