Society and Culture: "The Wonderful World of Enigmatic Chekhov" exhibition presented in Tyumen

"The Wonderful World of Enigmatic Chekhov" exhibition was opened on January 31, 2020, at the Tyumen State Institute of Culture.

Anton Chekhov is not only an unsurpassed master of the narration but also a world-famous playwright, subtle psychologist and profound expert of the human soul. At the book-illustrative exhibition, the documentary "Chekhov's enigma" was presented.

The amazing beauty of Chekhov’s language, amazing humor, and depth, the touching nature of his “little man” make his works beloved all over the world. The first section of the book-illustrative exhibition “The Beautiful World of Chekhov’s Incomprehensible” presents the author’s fiction works. The second section shows unique biographical and scientific works on literature.

The final section is entitled “A. P. Chekhov and the Tyumen Region". During Chekhov’s journey to Sakhalin, he stayed in Tyumen. The section features E. Dubovskaya’s album “Unforgettable Tyumen”, publications by A. Omelchuk, S. Komarov, L. Bespalova and other Tyumen authors.
