Exhibitions: Graphics by post-guard artists to presented in Kazan

On January 23, 2020, the exhibition “Falk, Mashkov, Kuznetsov. The circle of post-avant-garde artists of the 1920–1960s”, was opened in the Gallery of Modern Art of the National Museum of Fine Arts of the Republic of Tatarstan (Kazan). It features the post-avant-garde graphics from the museum’s collection.

The post-avant-garde art had been developed during the 1920-1930s, and later, when the creators of the avant-garde and their followers' circle were alive. It is a bright, significant and eventful phenomenon in Russian history, the basis for the Russian alternative art of the last century.

The exhibition features about seventy rarely shown works of post-avant-garde graphics.

The exhibition will run until February 23, 2020.
