History and Culture: XXXIV Scientific Conference “Novgorod and Novgorod Land. History and Archeology” to hold in Veliky Novgorod

January 28, 2020, the XXXIV Scientific Conference “Novgorod and Novgorod Land. History and Archeology” are to hold at the Lecture Hall of the Novgorod Museum-Reserve. This year the conference is marking the memory of Yevgeny Nikolaevich Nosov, historian, archaeologist, doctor of historical sciences, corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, professor of Novgorod State University, whose contribution to the study of the ancient history of Novgorod is unique.

The conference is attended by leading scientists from Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Veliky Novgorod, Petrozavodsk, Arkhangelsk, Rostov, Pskov, Tver, and Polotsk (Republic of Belarus).

A large section of the conference is devoted to research on archeology and the history of Novgorod and the Novgorod land.
