Memory of Russia: Saint-Petersburg marks the Dostoevsky Memory Day

February 9, 2020, marks the Memory Day of Fyodor Michailovich Dostoevsky (1821–1881) - the 139th anniversary of the writer's death.
On this day, the following events will take place:
- a ceremony of laying flowers in front of the grave of Fyodor Dostoevsky in the Alexander Nevsky Lavra,
- a memorial service in the Our Lady of Vladimir Church,
- a memorial evening at the Dostoevsky Museum, where chapters from the "Crime and Punishment" novel will be read (performed by Honored Artist of Russia Alexander Novikov).
There will be also held a lecture by Doctor of Philology Boris Tikhomirov entitled “Petersburg of Dostoevsky. Known and unknown".
