10 February 2020

The National Pushkin Museum (Saint-Petersburg) arranged a special program, marking the 183rd anniversary of the death of the poet.

A solemn ceremony of laying flowers in front of the monument to Alexander Pushkin will take place in the Lyceum Garden (Pushkin).

There is also planned an opening of a “Noble Scribe” exhibition in the main literary exposition of the museum - "Alexander Pushkin. Life and work” (Green Hall). It is marking the 225th anniversary of the "good genius" of Russian writers of the XIX century - the bookseller and publisher Alexander Filippovich Smirdin (1795-1857).

Also, the museum will host a solemn memorable meeting commemorating the 183rd anniversary of the death of Alexander Pushkin.

Marking the poet's Memorial Day, the Media Center of the National Pushkin Museum will present a new exhibition - "Each of us has his own Pushkin ...", featuring the digitized materials from the museum's collection.
