International Events: “Russia and Kyrgyzstan: Dialogue of Cultures” exhibition presented at the Russian State Library in Moscow
"Russia and Kyrgyzstan: Dialogue of Cultures” exhibition is held in the Russian State Library (Moscow) from February 5 to 15, 2020, within the framework of the cross-year of Russia and Kyrgyzstan. It features books, photo albums, notes and sound recordings from the library's collections.
The book section of the exhibition showcases publications in Russian, Kyrgyz, and English. These are various publications and studies of Kyrgyz folklore, for example, the "Manas" heroic epos, included by UNESCO in the list of masterpieces of the intangible cultural heritage of mankind.
The musical culture of the Kyrgyz people is featured by the examples of songwriting of aqyns - improvising poets and singers in the Kazakh and Kyrgyz cultures, who played a large social and educational role.
Part of the exposition is devoted to the long neighbor's relationships between the two countries in the common Soviet past, and to the participation of the Kyrgyz people in the Great Patriotic War.
Photo albums at the exhibition give an idea of the amazing nature of Kyrgyzstan, its people, and national culture.
