History of Moscow: "Moscow Metro: From the Origins to the Present" outdoor exhibition, marking the 85th anniversary of the Moscow Metro presented in the Russian capital

The Main Archive Department of the city of Moscow presents the "Moscow Metro: From the Origins to the Present" outdoor exhibition, marking the 85th anniversary of the Moscow Metro. The exposition showcases rare photographs featuring images of the first metro stations, metro as a bomb shelter during World War II, the everyday life of the metro in the post-war period. Besides, the exhibition presents photographs of new stations that were built with innovative technologies and materials.

Among the exhibits is a photograph of the period of the World Cup (2018), when the metro provided a special regime, free game zones, thematic trains end etc.

The exhibition will run until April 19, 2020
