Memory of Russia: "Chief Designer" exhibition opened in the Museum "History of the T-34" in Moscow Region
The "Chief Designer" exhibition was opened in the Museum "History of the T-34" in Moscow Region.
2020 marks several significant events in the history of the T-34. A new type of medium tank was officially adopted by the Soviet Army eighty years ago - on December 19, 1939. In February 1940, the first two T-34 were tested. In March 1940, tanks made a historic march from Kharkov to Moscow, and on March 30 they were presented in the Kremlin to members of the USSR government.
All of this titanic work was performed by the great manager, chief designer of Plant No. 183 Mikhail Ilyich Koshkin. He worked on the creation of the T-34 in a very difficult period of the enterprise.
The exhibition features the creation of the T-34 and the specific role of the chief designer.
The exhibition runs until the end of May 2020.
