International Events: More than 40 Soviet and Russian films to show as part of the "Russian Seasons" project in Paris

More than 40 Soviet and Russian films will be shown in Paris from March 2 to 9, 2020 at the “When Russians Surprise Us” film festival. The event is held under the patronage of the President of France, Emmanuel Macron. It is included in the program of the “Russian Seasons” international cultural project of the Ministry of Culture of Russia.

During the festival, more than 40 Soviet and Russian films from 1928–2019 will be shown at five venues in the French capital, including the Balzac Cinema near the Avenue des Champs-Élysées. The event will contain non-competition retrospectives, a competition program with four new films and seven short films, public talks and art meetings.
