History of Russia: "Wings of the Soviet Country" exhibition opened in Moscow

On March 12, 2020, the State Public Historical Library of Russia (Moscow) launched the "Wings of the Soviet Country" exhibition.

The middle 1920s - early 30s was the time of formation of the Soviet aviation, which was featured with a powerful agitation campaign. It called for helping the Soviet aviation industry, improving aviation skills, joining the numerous aviation clubs, circles, and societies.

The main idea of ​​the exhibition is to showcase the agitation and propaganda work of the press, which involved the best Russian cultural workers.

The exposition showcases specialized magazines ("Aircraft", "Red Wings to Siberia!", "Aero" and others), publications of various aviation societies, individual thematic publications by V. Mayakovsky, N. Ryazanov, M. Koltsov. The exposition also features photographs and articles from illustrated weekly and news publications, as well as graphic works published in periodicals - posters and drawings by various artists.

The exhibition will run until June 25, 2020.
