World Culture: Exhibition of the Western European art of the XVI–XX centuries opened in Kazan

The National Art Gallery of the State Museum of Fine Arts of the Republic of Tatarstan (Kazan) opened an exhibition of the Western European art of the XVI–XX centuries from the collection of Olga Zateeva.

The "Spring. Summer. Autumn. Winter. Allegories in the Western European Art" exhibition presents a collection of Olga Zateeva, which features the history of interpretations of the allegorical theme of "seasons" during the XVI-XX centuries.

The exhibition showcases several full series of Dutch engravers of the XVI-XVII centuries. It also presents the ivory items - works of masters of Italy, the Netherlands, Germany, and France of the XVII - early XX centuries. Porcelain - the pride and passion of collectors of the beginning of the XVIII century - is featured by small figures, vases and original items of Meissen, Berlin, Neapol and Vienna porcelain manufactories.
