17 March 2020

"Following the Roads of Jesus Christ" photo exhibition was opened in the State Museum of the History of Religion (Saint-Petersburg). The exhibition features genuine photographs of 1850-1900 from the Imperial Orthodox Palestine Society museum's collection. It also showcases pilgrimage souvenirs of the late XIX - early XXI centuries, as well as historical maps of the Holy Land.

The exhibition is divided into several sections. Each section presents landscapes of biblical places. A separate section is devoted to Jerusalem, which was described in detail by the evangelists as the place where Jesus Christ spent the last week of his life on the Earth. The other section highlights Christ's travels from Galilee to Judea through the Jordan Valley and Samaria. The exhibition also contents the section about Galilee province and the Sea of Galilee.

The exhibition will run until April 5, 2020.
