Marking the 75th anniversary of the Great Victory: "From Brest to Berlin" exhibition opened in Ulyanovsk

The Ulyanovsk Regional Museum of Local Lore opened a small exhibition entitled "From Brest to Berlin", devoted to the Ulyanovsk residents who participated in the liberation of Eastern and Central Europe from Nazism in 1944-1945. The beginning of the liberation mission was marked by the restoration of the state border of the USSR. On 26 March 1944, the Red Army crossed the Soviet-Romanian border near the Prut River.

The exhibition showcases genuine front-line photographs, personal belongings, drawings and documents of the front-line soldiers - Ulyanovsk residents who participated in the liberation battles. The exhibition also presents personal belongings and front-line drawings of the famous Ulyanovsk sculptor Grigory Vasilyevich Vasiliev, who participated in battles on the Baltic Front, as well as personal belongings, photographs and documents of Hero of the Soviet Union Alexei Petrovich Dmitriev.
