Peoples of Russia: Astrakhan Region launched "Living Thread of Traditions" folklore and ethnographic contest

Astrakhan Regional Scientific and Methodological Center of Folk Culture launched the regional contest of folklore and ethnographic materials "Living Thread of Traditions".

Specialists from regional and country cultural centers, municipal educational institutions and local lore history museums, teachers, high school students, heads and members of children's and youth public associations, military-patriotic and local lore history clubs, private associations, and art groups and others are invited to participate.

The contest's nominations are "Best folklore collector", "Best club institution in the preservation and revival of folk traditions".

The project aims to preserve a rich intangible cultural heritage of Astrakhan Region in the field of traditional folk culture.

Winners will be announced in each nomination.

Applications are accepted until October 12, 2020.
