3 April 2020

The Astrakhan Regional Children's Library’s virtual project "We Read to Children" combines modern technologies and books. It aims to introduce readers to the classic works of children's literature, as well as revive the tradition of reading aloud.

The library's specialists record short videos, in which they read best stories for children, as well as books by Astrakhan writers. Actor Sergey Kichigin, writers Anna Goncharova, Dina Nemirovskaya, Natalya Lozhnikova, Galina Nikolaeva, Marina Shaposhnikova, specialists of the Astrakhan Regional Scientific and Methodological Center for Folk Culture, specialists of the Museum and Cultural Center "Merchant G. V. Tetyushinov's House" take part in the project.

Inspired by watching these videos, schoolchildren expressed a desire to participate in the project and read their favorite works for their matches.

There are 102 videos on the library’s YouTube channel.

The user can watch a video and listen to the favorite story without leaving home.
