Internet and Culture: Astrakhan Regional Scientific Library to keep on developing the "Temples of Diocese of Akhtubinsk" Internet project

Nadezhda Krupskaya Astrakhan Regional Scientific Library keeps on developing the "Temples of Diocese of Akhtubinsk" electronic guide, which was created in 2014. The project's materials are available at the link: http: //khramy -Akhtubinskoy-eparchy.rf.

In 2015, the guide was presented to the general public. It has collected a lot of new information within the past five years. It includes archival and library materials, photographs, referral information. Besides, the guide should be edited. This work was launched at the end of 2019. As a result, the sections "Narimanov District" and "Akhtubinsk District" were completely edited, a new "Znamensk District" section was formed.

In 2020, work was continued: additions and more precise definitions were implemented to materials about churches in Krasnoyarsk Region. Information about eighty temples of the Diocese of Akhtubinsk also has been edited. Information about the temples of the Enotaevsky District is updated.

This year, Holy Trinity Cathedral of Enotaevka village, a temple with a 186-year history, an object of the cultural heritage of federal significance, is marking two anniversaries: 180 years from the date of the consecration of the chapel (1840) and 30 years of consecration of the whole cathedral (1990). Celebrations will be held in Enotaevka in the autumn. The Astrakhan Regional Scientific Library will also participate. Now information about the Holy Trinity Cathedral and other temples of the district is checked and improved thanks to new sources.

Soon, the sections "Kharabalinsky District" and "Chernoyarsky District" will be edited too.
