Internet and Memory of Russia: The State Darwin Museum presented online projects, marking the 75th anniversary of Victory

1 May 2020

A virtual exhibition entitled "Animals on the Fronts of the Great Patriotic War in the Works of Artists of the State Darwin Museum" commemorates the museum workers who fought and worked in the rear during the Great Patriotic War. It was created to remind about silent combat friends - animals who always fought side by side with a man and saved thousands of lives.

On May 1, the "Immortal Regiment of the State Darwin Museum" project will be launched on the museum’s social networks. Every day from May 1 to May 9, the State Darwin Museum will feature the stories about its specialists who participated in the Great Patriotic War and left dozens and hundreds of artworks, memorial letters, documents, photographs. They all are silent witnesses of how the war changed the usual course of museum life and fate of ordinary people. The project will also present the works of those front-line artists who did not work in the museum during the war, but whose works make up the best part of fine art's collection: G. N. Glikman, A. S. Loick, N. I. Fedorov, and V. E. Tsigal.
