The Novgorod Regional Universal Scientific Library released an online souvenir postcard set "Books of the XIX Century about Novgorod" prepared by the library and published in 2017.

The postcard set features ten ancient publications devoted to history and culture, architectural and archaeological sites of ancient Novgorod. These studies of the XIX century about Novgorod shrines and rarities have become bibliographic rarities.

The postcard set "Books of the XIX Century about Novgorod" features ​​such works of the XIX century as the "Description of Cathedral of St. Sophia in Novgorod" (1847) by archimandrite Apollos, "Magdeburg Gates in the Novgorod Sophia Cathedral" (1834) by F. Adelung, "On the Location of Ancient Novgorod" (1851) by I. I. Krasov, "Archaeological Descriptions of Church Rarities in Novgorod and Its Environs" (1860) by Archimandrite Makarii, "Novgorod Rarities: Note for Local Surveys" (1898) by V. S. Peredolsky and others. The cards provide the title pages and descriptions of books from the library’s collection of rare editions.

The original and unique set is decorated with the art pictures of the famous architectural monuments of Novgorod - Cathedral of St. Sophia, St. George Cathedral of St. George's (Yuriev) Monastery, Church of the Annunciation on Rurikovo Gorodische, Saviour Church on Nereditsa, Millennium of Russia Monument and others. The drawings are made in the sand art technique. The author of the illustrations is Ksenia Inozemtseva.
