The RusHydro group of companies launched a website marking the 100th anniversary of the GOELRO plan - a comprehensive SFSR electrification plan, which determined the Russian electric power industry development.

The key goal of the GOELRO plan was the electrification of all economic sectors by constructing power plants. By the plan, hydroelectric power plants were built. They became the pride of the Russian energy industry. Three of them even now are part of RusHydro which is the largest Russian energy holding. They are Gergebilskaya, Gizeldonskaya, and Baksanskaya hydroelectric power stations.

The website features archived photos and videos and highlights the details of key stages of the GOELRO plan implementation, as well as the consequent development of the domestic electricity industry up to the present day. A section devoted to the heroic work of hydroelectric power stations during the Great Patriotic War occupies a special place on the portal.

The resource has a modern design and a useful navigation system. Each decade of the formation of domestic energy is featured in a separate section. The website also includes a test on knowledge of Russian energy.
