Peoples of Russia: Contest "Heroes of the Finno-Ugric Peoples of Russia during the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945" launched

The All-Russian Public Movement "Association of Finno-Ugric Peoples of the Russian Federation" with the support of the Federal Agency for Nationalities is holding a contest "Heroes of the Finno-Ugric Peoples of Russia during the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945". It was launched on July 31, 2020.

The contest aims to represent the historical contribution of the Finno-Ugric peoples of the Russian Federation to the Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945, promote patriotic education of younger generations, develop and strengthen ethnic ties of the Finno-Ugric peoples of Russia.

Citizens of the Russian Federation - representatives of the Finno-Ugric language group, are invited to participate.

Participants should submit artworks (stories, memoirs, essays) on behalf of a direct war participant, member of his family, relative or friend about the feat or achievements of the veterans of the Great Patriotic War.

Artworks (with all attachments) must be sent for close examination of the expert commission by September 30, 2020.
