
Memory of Russia: Military and Historical Festival "Living Pages of History" to hold in Samara
Samara hosts the Military and Historical Festival "Living Pages of History" on October 2-4, 2020.
The festival reconstructs the events in Samara in 1918, as well as the urban life of the early XX century. The organizers are the P. V. Alabin Samara Regional Historical and Local Lore Museum and the Russian Military-Historical Society with the support of the 2nd Guards Combined Arms Red Banner Army.
Events will be held at the locations of the P. V. Alabin Samara Regional Historical and Local Lore Museum, the M. V. Frunze House-Museum and city streets.
Within all three days of the festival, there will be interactive sites where each guest could feel the atmosphere of the past.
On October 3, the central festival day, a reconstruction of the Battle of Samara between the Red Army and the white units of the People's Army and the Czechoslovak Legion will take place. It will revive the historical realities of October 1918. The battle reconstruction will be arranged on the Leninskaya street within the confines of Rabochaya and Krasnoarmeyskaya streets.
On October 4, the festival will end with a long walking tour around Samara, devoted to the revolutionary events of 1917.
