6 October 2020

The Bogoroditsk Palace-Museum and Park (Tula Region) opened "The Heir of the Russian Throne. Peterhof Education" exhibition from the collections of the Peterhof State Museum-Reserve.

The project is a part of the campaign marking the 500th anniversary of the Tula Kremlin construction as the beginning of the Great Abatis Border.

The exhibition features 269 items: paintings, applied art pieces, didactic literature, writing materials, old sports equipment, exhibits from Peterhof palaces associated with the names of the Russian Imperial House representatives, including personal belongings of the grand princes - the heirs of the Russian throne.

The Bogoroditsk Palace-Museum and Park is the former estate of Count A. G. Bobrinsky, son of Empress Catherine II. The Empress paid particular attention to the upbringing and education of her bastard son. Several generations of Bobrinsky's descendants were brought up together with the grand princes because of the close family bonds.

The exhibition will run until December 14.
