
Society and Culture: Moscow Kremlin Museums to open the exhibition "Carl Fabergé & Fedor Rückert. Masterpieces of Russian Enamel"
On October 9, 2020, the Moscow Kremlin Museums will open the exhibition "Carl Fabergé & Fedor Rückert. Masterpieces of Russian Enamel" in the exhibition halls of the Assumption Belfry and the Patriarchal Palace. The exposition brought together about 400 pieces of precious metal with enamel, created by Russian jewellery companies in the XIX - early XX centuries.
The central exhibits are the works of the famous Moscow "enamel painter" Fedor Rückert and the Carl Fabergé world-famous company. The exposition also features works of other big firms, workshops and crews, created in different enamel techniques: cloisonné, champlevé, pictural enamel and others.
Also, the exhibition presents enamel copies of paintings by famous painters: Viktor Vasnetsov, Konstantin Makovsky, Vasily Vereshchagin and others, as well as fine memorial items, such as diplomatic and imperial gifts.
