Memory of Russia: Exhibition "Leningrad Monuments Remember" opened in St. Petersburg

The State Museum of Urban Sculpture (St. Petersburg) on ​​October 20, 2020 opens the exhibition "Leningrad Monuments Remember" on the eve of the 75th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

The exhibition is dedicated to the selfless work of the staff of the Museum of Urban Sculpture to save the monumental decoration of our city during the Great Patriotic War.

The exhibition also tells about the work of the Museum staff on the preservation of memorial plaques. Now it is hard to believe it, but during the war years in Leningrad, new marble boards were discovered.

Original documents and photographs, original graphics, postcards, sculpture of the war years, as well as models of the monuments that were hidden are presented.

The exhibition will run until December 20, 2020.
