History of Russia: "Award and Souvenir Weapons" exhibition to open in the Rybinsk Museum-Reserve
On November 19, 2020, the Rybinsk Museum-Reserve will open the "Award and Souvenir Weapons" exhibition by the Central Museum of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. For the first time, Rybinsk will host the exposition of unique cold steel and firearms belonging to Russian outstanding state and military leaders of different times.
Some items of the souvenir hunting weapons reveal the hobbies of statesmen. At the same time, they are diplomatic gifts to Leonid Brezhnev from the President of the Republic of Finland Urho K. Kekkonen and the first secretary of the Mongolian People's Revolutionary Party Yumzhagiin Tsedenbal.
The most solemn exhibits are the Battle Standard of 1941 of the 114th Separate Guard's Tank Prague Battalion of the Kutuzov and Bogdan Khmelnitsky Orders, as well as colourful posters.
