Memory of Russia: Monument to general Pyotr Kotlyarevsky unveiled in Feodosia

The unveiling of a monument to the legendary infantry general Pyotr Stepanovich Kotlyarevsky took place on November 28 on the embankment of Feodosia. He was a hero of the Caucasian War, awarded with three Orders of St. George, named "Caucasian Suvorov" by his contemporaries .

The monument is made of a valuable kind of granite - labradorite. The general is on a marly horse, standing on a mosaic carpet symbolizing the victory over Persia. The idea of a sculpture belongs to the Russian Military Historical Society.
