History of Russia: "The Heart of Kutuzov" exhibition presented in Saint-Petersburg

On December 5, 2020, the State Museum of Urban Sculpture of Saint-Petersburg launched a new exposition - "The Heart of Kutuzov". The exhibition marks the 75th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War and the 275th anniversary of Mikhail Kutuzov, Russian military leader.

The opening took place in the hall of the Narva Triumphal Gate, built in honour of Russian troops that defeated Napoleon.

The exposition features images from museum collections, photographs, a model of the monument to Kutuzov, engravings and watercolours by contemporary artists. It presents the works about war by masters of book illustration - Georgy Traugot, Oleg Dergachev, Pavel Alekseev, Valery Tsikota. The exhibition also showcases a series of graphic works by Corinna Pretro devoted to the Siege of Leningrad.
