Memorable Dates of Russia: Exhibition "Bunin's Heritage - Past, Present and Future", which marks the 150th anniversary of the writer, presented in Saint-Petersburg

The exhibition "Bunin's Heritage - Past, Present and Future" is open in the New Building of the National Library of Russia (Saint-Petersburg). It marks the 150th anniversary of the writer.

The exposition features publications from Russian and foreign book collections, as well as the National Literature Department of the National Library of Russia. Much attention is paid to books on the writer's life in Russia and emigration. The exposition includes the novel "The Life of Arseniev", for which in December 1933 the writer was awarded the Nobel Prize. The diploma states that the author "recreated a typical Russian character in fiction". the King of Sweden Gustav V presented the Nobel medal and the laureate's certificate. One of the sections of the exposition illustrates this event.

It also presents a sculptural portrait of Ivan Bunin by Honored Artist of Russia Yuri Dzhibrayev.

The organizers are the National Library of Russia and the World Club of Petersburg Residents and the Imperial Orthodox Palestine Society (representative office in France).

The exhibition will run until January 31.
