Society and Culture: Exhibition "Illustrations to Nikolai Gogol's poem "Dead Souls" opened in Ulyanovsk

The Museum of Fine Arts of the XX–XXI centuries in Ulyanovsk opened the exhibition "Illustrations to Nikolai Gogol's poem "Dead Souls".

The exposition features 40 works in the silk-screen printing technique by Sergei Alimov, People's Artist of Russia. It also includes videos about the artist - "Sergei Alimov. Fantastic Realist" (2020), the program "Artificial Selection" (2016) by the "Kultura" TV channel.

The exhibition is part of the "Cultural Dialogue: Meetings in the Provinces" program. It was initiated by the Centralized Library System and supported by the Russian Cultural Foundation, the Ministry of Art and Cultural Policy of Ulyanovsk Region, the Department of Culture and Leisure of Ulyanovsk City Administration.

The exhibition will run at the Museum of Fine Arts of the XX–XXI Centuries until January 20, 2021.
