
Internet and Society: Russian State Children's Library to hold a New Year's online festival
From December 24, 2020, to January 7, 2021, the Russian State Children's Library (Moscow) holds a New Year's online festival for readers.
The program includes workshops, literary quizzes, performances, Christmas readings, meetings with writers, artists and literary characters.
Every day, the "Magic Windows" online calendar for the New Year provides readers with a new video surprise.
Illustrators Irina Petelina, Olga Ionaitis, library specialists and volunteers will launch Christmas workshops. They will show how to create hand-made New Year's decor, toys and postcards.
Young readers will enjoy New Year's Days with Kuzya and winter tales of foreign and domestic writers - Lucy Fleming, Tove Jansson, Bruno Khehler, Michael Bond, Andrei Usachev, Olga Fadeeva, Sofia Makarova, Linor Goralik.
Live broadcasts of "Christmas Readings" are intended for teenagers. They will discover the world of New Year literary classics - the works of Charles Dickens, Ernst Theodor Amadeus Hoffmann, O. Henry, John Ronald Ruel Tolkien, Nikolai Gogol and Ivan Shmelev.
