Internet and History: Historical studies available on the Youtube channel of the Institute of Russian History of the Russian Academy of Sciences

The Institute of Russian History of the Russian Academy of Sciences launched its Youtube channel. The resource will release lectures of the Institute's specialists on the latest research, as well as video recordings of conferences.

The first channel publications are videolectures by Yuri Petrov, the Director of the Institute, on historical science and Sergei Zhuravlev, Deputy Director, on fashion in the USSR and its social and economic aspects.

The Institute of Russian History of the Russian Academy of Sciences is a leading scientific institution that studies fundamental issues of Russian history.

This year the Institute marks the 85th anniversary of its establishment. The Institute of History of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR was opened in 1936. In 1968, it became the Institute of History of the USSR of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR. In 1992, the scientific centre received its present name.
