4 February 2021

The National Library of the Chuvash Republic (Cheboksary) opened the book exposition "150 Years of the Service for Science and Education", marking the institution's anniversary.

The project was arranged by the library's specialists and artist Oleg Arkadyevich Ulangin. It changes the usual idea of a library exhibition. Each section is a separate page of a fabulous history, which combines events, names and fates of people, episodes, impressions and moments of library life. Looking through these pages, the reader will pass a long way from the very origins of the public city library in Cheboksary to the National Library of the Chuvash Republic.

The exposition amazes with its professional decoration. It features the reconstruction of the XIX-century librarian's working place, rare books, unique archival documents, photographs from the library's archive, prestigious and honorary awards. Combination of traditional and electronic exhibits attracts the visitor's attention from the beginning to the end.
