Internet and Libraries: Moscow libraries to provide virtual tours around cities and countries of the world

The Internet websites of Moscow libraries hold an online travel marathon. In February 2021, they launched 33 virtual tours. The complete program is available on the Online.Bibliogorod portal.

"We invite adults and children to make a fascinating virtual journey through the cities and regions of Russia, countries of Europe and Latin America. We promote online tours of Moscow sights, ancient cities on the Volga, as well as Karelia and Crimea. Besides, it will be possible to look at the traditional Venice Carnival in February and visit famous museums in Madrid, Barcelona and other Spanish cities. Lovers of nature may explore a tour of the waterfalls of Latin America. The guides will show photo and video materials during the excursions", said the press service of the Moscow Directorate for the Development of Cultural Centres of the Department of Culture.

Some tours will be broadcast live, while others will be available as records. Some of them demand prior registration.
