The State museum-reserve of Alexander Pushkin "Mikhailovskoye" (Pskov Region) presents a new exhibition called "Lermontov: Fate of the Poet-Warrior". The exhibits were provided by the State Lermontov Museum-Reserve "Tarkhany" (Penza Region).
The exposition features paintings and graphic works that illustrate the life of the poet. There are views of Lermontov's sights in Moscow, Saint-Petersburg and Pyatigorsk, landscapes of the Caucasus and genre paintings of highlanders' life, portraits of the poet and his contemporaries.
It also includes numerous objects connected with the everyday and travelling life of a nobleman in the XIX century: dishes, writing utensils, candlesticks, travel box and envelope folder for letters, cigarette case and smoking pipe, cards and chess, etc.
The exposition showcases a significant collection of rare editions: both Lermontov's works and publications about him.
