A repository with a conservation centre and an exhibition hall will be created in Epifan village in Tula Region on the eve of the 650th anniversary of the Battle of Kulikovo, celebrated in 2030. The repository will be interregional. Museums that do not have facilities for the preservation of artefacts will have an opportunity to keep their archaeological discoveries there.

The repository will be located in a two-storey house (No. 7, Tulskaya Street). It was built in the mid-XIX century and is in satisfactory condition. Another historic building (No. 28, Kuznechnaya Street), where restoration work is already underway, will house an office, an area for reception and work with collections and premises for express exhibitions.

Victory Day in the Battle of Kulikovo is celebrated annually on September 21 according to the federal law "On the Days of Military Glory and Memorable Dates in Russia".

In early April 2021, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed an order to celebrate the 650th anniversary of the Battle of Kulikovo in 2030. As part of preparations for the anniversary, the head of state instructed the government to develop and approve a plan of festive events. He recommended the executive authorities of Russian regions and local governments to participate in the celebration's preparation and organisation.
