International Events: Graphic works from the collections of the Pushkin Reserve presented at the exhibition "Literary Landscape" in the Republic of Belarus
The National Art Museum of the Republic of Belarus (Minsk) hosts the exhibition "Literary Landscape", which presents works of landscape graphics from the collections of the Pushkin Reserve.
The exposition focuses on the literary landscape, which reflects Pushkin's word and oeuvre, addressed to the reality that once surrounded the poet. It presents Russian nature as a specific phenomenon. Numerous images of nature in Pushkin's poetry are full of sounds, colours, vivid feelings and emotions. The graphic works by different authors illustrate Pushkin's writings and, at the same time, reflect the picture of Russian reality.
The Pushkin Reserve perceives nature as both a real character of a story and a museum object. The museum has a rich collection of landscapes. Artists of all generations strive to depict a modern "portrait" of a Pushkin estate. They try to create an artistic image that would expand the existing iconography and eventually become a valuable document for future generations.
The exhibition from the collection of the Pushkin Reserve features two sculptural compositions and 31 graphic works, which, like pieces of precious smalt, make a picture of Pushkin's Russia.
The exhibition will run until August 15, 2021.
