Memory of Russia: Victory Museum in Moscow to open the exhibition "June 1941. Before and After" as part of the "1941. Burning Country" conference

On June 21, 2021, the Victory Museum (Moscow) will open the exhibition "June 1941. Before and After" as part of the "1941. Burning Country" conference. It highlights the cardinal changes in the life of Soviet citizens at the beginning of the war.

The exposition includes over 200 items from the Victory Museum, the Russian National Museum of Music and private collections. Among the exhibits are paintings on battle themes and pre-war peacetime, wooden and bronze sculptures, military uniforms and everyday clothes of the 1930s - 1940s, household items and equipment of the beginning of the war, models of military equipment.

Also, guests will see the private belongings of Konstantin Rokossovsky, Marshal of the Soviet Union.

For the first time, the exposition features wooden sculptures by the front-line artist, statues of animals by Semyon Loik and bronze figures by Oleg Zakomorny.

The exhibition will run until August 10, 2021.
