Exhibition of the Victory Museum "06/22/1941. Tragedy. Courage. Feat" is available in 31 museums of Russia concurrently.
The exposition features documents, photographs, letters from the front, posters, paintings and graphic works, memoirs of soldiers who participated in the battles in the summer of 1941.
Exhibition sections tell about defence in border battles, stubborn fights in encirclement and the first significant combat successes of the Red Army. Also, the exposition spotlights the first months of the Great Patriotic War, including the evacuation and restructuring of the national economy in the rear.
The project involved both large state and small school museums from Smolensk to Khabarovsk. It is available in the exhibition spaces of the museums participating in the Victory Territory project and on the institutions' websites.
The Victory Territory international project aims to create in Russia and abroad a single museum space devoted to the military history of the XX century. The initiative has already engaged more than 200 Russian and foreign cultural institutions.
