An audio guide Dostoevsky in Moscow: Childhood on Bozhedomka is available on the Discover Moscow portal. Walking with an online application, portal users will see streets and buildings connected with the writer's childhood and adolescence. By the way, many of the houses on the route are cultural heritage sites. The audio guide will tell exciting stories from the life of the Dostoevsky family and the writer's favourite places in Moscow.

The route was developed by the participants of the Children's Dostoevsky project, supervised by the Dostoevsky Library of the Moscow Department of Culture. The project program includes lectures and various events aimed to introduce young readers to the writer's oeuvre. The Discover Moscow portal also proposes a quiz for school students Children's Dostoevsky.

"This year marks the 200th anniversary of Fyodor Dostoevsky. He lived most of his life in St. Petersburg, where he became a writer and created many of his works. However, the future classic of Russian and world literature was born in Moscow. He lived here until the age of 16. The new route on the Discover Moscow portal provides information on Fyodor Dostoevsky's childhood and his family's traditions of upbringing and education. Remarkably, children aged five to sixteen took part in the recording of the audio guide", said Alexei Yemelyanov, Head of the Moscow Cultural HeritageDepartment.

The route includes eight points on a distance of six kilometres. The walking time's a little over an hour.
