The President of Russia: Vladimir Putin proposed to declare 2023 the Year of the Teacher in Russia

Russian President Vladimir Putin supported the idea of declaring 2023 the Year of the Teacher in Russia. Such a proposal was made by Yekaterina Grishina, one of the participants in the meeting with representatives of the public, which took place on August 25, 2021.

"It is a good idea, a good proposal", the President said.

Vladimir Putin recalled that in 2023 Russia would celebrate the 200th anniversary of the birth of Russian teacher Konstantin Ushinsky. "He is one of the founders of Russian pedagogy. We should declare 2023 the Year of the Teacher", the Head of the State said, thanking the meeting participants for the proposal.
