Russian Culture Abroad: Russian Pavilion opened at the EXPO 2020 Word Exhibition in Dubai

EXPO 2020 is taking place in Dubai (UAE) from October 1 to March 31. The Russian pavilion is one of the largest on the territory of the complex. Its theme is "Creative Mind: Designing the Future". The pavilion's concept spotlights the scientific and cultural achievements of different eras. It also reveals how creative minds work for the benefit of the Word community.

The pavilion of Russia is a dome covered by many intertwined multicoloured tubes as threads. They symbolize the process of cognition, the rapid progress and the endless movement forward.

The exposition inside the pavilion is entitled The Mechanics of a Miracle. It informs about the structure and principles of the brain and the tools of consciousness appearance. The centre of the pavilion is decorated by a large kinetic sculpture as a human brain, which comes to life through projections.

The UExpo 2020 Russia - the official application of the Russian pavilion, involves AR technology. Visitors can take a picture or shoot a short video with the characters of the animated series.

The main topics of the pavilion's business program are urbanism, space, education, culture, contemporary art, tourism, science, transport and logistics, fashion industry and medicine.

As part of EXPO 2020, Russia will present a rich cultural program. On October 11–12, the St. Petersburg Opera Theater will be on tour, which will show Verdi's famous opera Rigoletto. On October 18, the Russia Fest folklore holiday will run on the territory of the Expo Park. On October 20, the Jubilee Park will host a children's music festival. The Igor Moiseyev Ballet will also perform at the international exposition, and the Boris Eifman Ballet Theatre will present the production of Anna Karenina.

The Christmas days will provide a Russian culture fest From Russia with... Its guests will learn about traditions, musical diversity and national cuisines of different Russian regions.
