Libraries and Society: XXII All-Russian Seminar "Issues of Local History Activities of Libraries" as part of the IX Siberian Library Forum to hold in Kemerovo

On October 11-15, 2021, Kemerovo will host the XXII All-Russian Seminar "Issues of Local History Activities of Libraries". The event is part of the IX Siberian Library Forum. It is organized by the Local History in Modern Libraries Section of the Russian Library Association, the National Library of Russia, the V. D. Fyodorov State Scientific Library of Kuzbass, Kemerovo State Institute of Culture and Kuzbass Libraries Non-Commercial Partnership.

The sessions highlight relevant topics, including:

- social partnership in local history activities;

- interregional local history projects;

- museum and archival studies of regional libraries;

- electronic local history archive in the structure of local history resources of the library;

- work with non-text (video, visual and sound) and non-standard text formats of local history documents;

- local history bibliography: history, current state, prospects;

- local history reference and bibliographic service;

- promotion of local history resources, products and services in social networks;

- local history portals and websites: analysis of the current state;

- modern forms of distance learning, advanced training and methodological support for local history specialists in the library.
