Libraries of Russia: Russian State Library of Arts presented the virtual exhibition of the collection rarities marking the centenary of its foundation

In 2022, the Russian State Library of Arts will celebrate the centenary of the establishment of the famous Theatre Library (the previous name of the library until 1992). The basis of the general collections were books and graphic sheets from the private libraries of directors and actors of the Maly Theatre, teachers of the Theatre School, gifts of its employees and readers.

Preparing for the centenary celebrations, the Russian State Library of Arts launched a project devoted to rarities from its collections. The virtual exhibition tells about unique items: books, magazines, albums, photographs, postcards, prints, sketches, archival documents. Information about rare documents will be constantly improved.
