Internet and Culture: Russian National Museum of Music to promote an online exhibition marking the 210th anniversary of Franz Liszt

The Russian National Museum of Music presents an online exhibition "Play, Liszt!". It marks the 210th anniversary of the Hungarian composer Franz Liszt. The collection features the pianist's autographs, musical and literary manuscripts, paintings and graphic works.

The online exhibition introduces the biography and work of Franz Liszt, a virtuoso pianist, composer and teacher of the era of musical romanticism. Liszt visited Russia. The exposition tells about his travels and relationships with Russian musicians of the XIX century. Three autographs of the composer are presented for the first time. Users will see musical and literary manuscripts, including the memoirs of Alexander Borodin and Alexander Ziloti, photographs, lifetime editions of Liszt's piano works, paintings and graphic works.

The project's website releases lectures on the composer's work by musician and journalist Lyalya Kandaurova. The SberSvuk platform promotes Russian and Hungarian music performed by Ferenc Liszt.
