Information technology and culture: Audio guides around literary places recorded in Voronezh

29 November 2021

The guides for independent travelers were recorded by the Voronezh librarians. Eight routes of the LiteraTUR project allow walking a hundred kilometers through the city and see about a hundred sights.

The history of Voronezh is proposed to be examined through biographies and works of writers. Among them are the Nobel laureate Ivan Bunin, the original prose writer Andrei Platonov, the "poet-prassol" Alexei Koltsov and Anatoly Zhigulin, who passed the Stalinist camps. There are also writers little known to today's reader in the collection - for example, Vladimir Korablinov or Vladimir Gordeychev.

The audio guides are free on the izi.travel platform or on the website of the Centralized Library System. If you set up geolocation and "Walk" mode in your smartphone then short stories about objects will sound the moment you are near.

In the near future, the LiteraTUR project will be supplemented with routes dedicated to Gabriel Troepolsky, Samuil Marshak, Peter Ponomarev and Alexei Prasolov.
