Marking the Year of Folk Art and Cultural Heritage of the CIS Countries: Exhibition "Musical Folklore of the Peoples of the Commonwealth Countries" presented in Moscow

The coming year 2022 has been declared in the Commonwealth of Independent States as the Year of Folk Art and Cultural Heritage in connection with which numerous events dedicated to folk art and folklore will be held in the CIS countries. One of them is the exhibition “Musical Folklore of the Peoples of the Commonwealth Countries”, which will be open until February 22 in the chamber hall of the department of musical publications and sound recordings of the Pashkov House (Moscow).

The exhibition showcases the most striking examples of the musical folklore of the peoples of the Commonwealth countries - Russian, Belarusian, Armenian, Kazakh, Turkmen, Ukrainian, Moldovan, Azerbaijani, Tajik, Kyrgyz, Uzbek. The traditional heritage of the peoples in the exposition is represented by rare musical editions and records, revealing the features of the musical culture of each people.
