IT and science: Virtual tours of the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research launched
17 February 2022
The Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (JINR) was founded in Dubna near Moscow in 1956. For more than half a century, scientists within its walls have been engaged in research in the field of elementary particle physics, nuclear physics and condensed matter physics. It was here that new chemical elements of the periodic table were discovered, and a new NICA collider is being built, with the help of which researchers will study quarkgluon matter - the state of matter that is found in the depths of neutron stars.
