History of Moscow: The “Moscow and Muscovits during the Alexander I’s era” exhibition opens in the Museum & Nature Reserve “Tsaritsyno”
The Moscow and Muscovits during the Alexander I’s era exhibition is opening in the Museum & Nature Reserve “Tsaritsyno” on May 31, 2022. The exhibition displays materials depicting the slow life of Moscow “before the fire”, the devastating fire in 1812 and the massive works on the restoration of the city.
«The new exhibition continues an important for the Museum’s research and exhibitions line of history. It introduces the visitors to the unique appearance of Moscow, the patriarchal life of its residents and the spiritual atmosphere of that time, – stated Elizaveta Fokina, Director General of the Museum & Nature Reserve “Tsaritsyno”. – This historical period is especially important for Tsaritsyn since our landscape park was created during that time: pavilions “Milovida” and “Nerastankino”, as well as the grotesque bridges were built. In the beginning of XIX century, the Emperor’s unfinished manor became a popular place among Moscow nobility for taking countryside walks».
The exhibition will run until July 31, 2022.
